only takes a cpl minutes and its good to go, loctite is an anaerobic sealer so it hardens in the absence of air...i had a demonstration of permatex thread sealants where the guy put on a cpl drops of there red on a bolt, screwed it into a nut and passed it around with 2 wrenches and no one could break it lose after setting up for only about 30 seconds...

One thing i did notice is that if your sealing up a fuel line , you need to let the loctite sit up longer .
I would seal a fuel line and test it for leaks and it wouldnt hold but after cleaning the fittings an resealing it and letting it sit over night , it never leaked again .
