i was wondering what heads would be good for high torque numbers and awesome numbers under the curve? i plan on going heads only before/if i go cam.

should i look at some 243s? 5.3 heads? tfs? afr? tea? prc? what heads are good for what i am looking for?

I like AFR's for power under the curve for a head right off the shelf going on to a 346, but that's not to say other heads with the right cam wont make good power under the curve as well. The combination is whats important.

Its a budget related choice.

My bad if I misread your mods list, but I would look at some LT's before doing heads...

But as far as heads go, since you have a 99, 243's would be a nice choice with an eye towards budget. Just get a modest shave on them. The compression increase will give you the tractable gains you are looking for.

Well I actually provided you with good info before, apparently the moderators are the same people who advertise on this website. I'm not going to recommend anything now since all that is allowed is sponsors products. This is turning into a joke. Oh wait just get a set of TSP 5.3 2.5 heads I hear they are best.
