Well where do I start...Depending on what year the kit was manufactured, most of the parts becide the blower and bracket will need to be tossed. I had nothing but issues with all of the spacers included in the kit. I would suggest getting the crank keyed, or youll run a great risk of spinning the balancer off the crank. Mainly on anything over 6psi, youll start to see the gremlins appear from this poorly designed kit. Not trying to scare you away from this setup, but I had one from 2002-2005. It was the most costly mistake I have made to date. I went back to na and it was like new found love with the car again lol! Point is: Anybody looking to procharge your lt1, you might as well pick up the head unit and bracket and build the rest from scratch. Oh yea the prob with that spacer your talking about. The inner edge that seats to the inside of the balancer is not macined correctly, not allowing it to draw tight to the balancer. I also had issues with that as well...Hope this helps.

Man I banged my head over and over fighting those same issues, I feel ya. If it makes you feel better, my car did make 426whp @8psi on the stock motor down to the manifolds. So if and when you get the bugs worked out, it will make some good power. Just don;t do like I did and build a 383 to run that p1sc on. The extra cubes maxed out the blower cfm to early, wich is why i sold mine. Should of went d1sc from the get go.

I can speak from personal experience on the balancer spinning. The only other problem I have had with the kit is the idler pulley took a crap and tore some stuff up but other than that.....nothing. Been running strong for the last six years.

You really can't put a number on safety....some could get by for years. Mine spun @ 8.5lbs. I was lucky I climbed under the car when I did and didn't shoot it thru the hood!
