Stock Cube Dome Pistons
My current setup is a 347 with Probe forged pistons and Scat H-beam rods with a Futral custom nitrous cam and a Fast 90 setup on top of a set of Livernois Stage 2 LS6 heads. I am throwing around the idea of going with a set of forged pistons to net me around 13-14:1 static compression ratio as opposed to my cirrent 11.1:1 SCR.
Does any company mass produce a stock cube dome piston? I know a set of custom JE pistons or the like would be sweet, but I am trying to be as budget minded as possible. Any input, advice, or related experience would be greatly appreciated!

I doubt it, atleast I didn't find anyone. A small bore engine takes a good sized dome to get the compression up there. With the different head chamber designs it would be tough to find a big domed piston to work with every head. Diamond did mine but they're custom.

Sounds about right. I think I changed my plans anyways.
I am calling Alan Futral monday about grinding me another new cam. Swap my custom gring FMS 114+4 nitrous cam out for an all motor custom grind. Maybe even an alcohol carb setup possibly.

^ I pretty much agree. The most you could pick up would be around 30 rwhp from the compression. I think for the cost of custom pistons, alcohol carb, and fuel setup, you could easily buy a 4 inch crank and some different pistons. I'm sure you'd pick up more power with the increased cubic inches and the added stroke would make it easier to increase compression.
EDIT: I just checked out some pistons and Diamond sells a shelf 10cc dome piston for 347s and 383s. They have valve relief options for LS6, 6.0L, and AFR heads.
Double EDIT: Those shelf pistons will only get you around a 1.7 point increase in compression compaired to a common -2cc dish piston on a 347. To hit 14:1 you'd need something in the range of a 19cc dome.
With a 383 going from a 2cc dish to a 10cc dome gives you right around a 2 point increase in compression. You could hit 13-14:1 rather easily and still have a decent sized chamber. I used 64cc to figure all of these numbers, with GM gaskets, and .007 out of the hole.

Throwing around the idea of using some spare parts that are laying around in certain places just for the hell of it. Drunken ideas, that's all... LOL
I am close to being done with ******* with this LS1 and start on my SBC.
