Default Ford 8.8

Is it possible to use the ford 8.8 rear end? If so, is there a write-up on how to do it?

I'm building a 8.8 out of a 94 cobra. I will be using a 4 link setup no torque arm also the cobra rear is 4" narrower then a factory 10 bolt. Will be using the cobra brakes rotors just going to redrill the axles to chevy 5x4.75 and i got it all for $250

How does the 10 bolt housing house the 8.8 center section? I wouldn't think it would work that easily.

You weld your axle tubes to the 8.8 housing

no im not directing towards you, just to the others about adding in the 10bolt tubes... just doesnt make much sense to me. i didnt go that route, and i am almost a bolt in setup after bracketry was made. oh well, diff strokes for diff folks

thanks guys!

I just wish there was a good write up thread w/ pics to show the fabrication involved. I dont think I would be able to do it myself since I don't have the tools to do so, but I was very interested since its a fraction of the cost of a 12 bolt/9".
