any builders have problems with torlon ***** on old plate?
Did i miss something when i rebuilt my 4l60 tranny. I went with the torlon ***** but old plate, pinless pistons, and the spring loaded check valve in the 3-4 drum and of course good clutches and etc.. I dont know if its related to my current problem but if i let my car sit overnight then drive it ,it feels good till i come to a stop then when i take off it just slips or maybe even binds i cant tell. i have a stall so i dont know if its binding and stalling up or if its just straight out slipping.but it only does it ,it seems ,after the first time after it goes through a set of shifts.I thought maybe it was not going back down to first after i came to a stop but took it out this morning before work and could clearly feel it drop down, but couldve been 2nd.now that i think about it it almost feels like maybe 3rd gear.
I know this probally a hard problem to diagnose over the internet but i simply am boggled.Any ideas guys?

yes i did tune it for the stall..and it felt great before losing 3-4 last month and even then 1-2 still worked great. I just reformated my laptop and have to reload all my tuning softwae so i have had a chance to check the codes yet.Would a limp mode kick in on a 94 tranny? if so what can cause a limp Mode. I plan to put a pressure guage on it tonight just to see what that is up to.

Also the fourth piston ...does it need a spring to work right? i had a b&m shift kit in it and it had those solid spacers instead of springs. So before i had a harsh part throttle 2nd shift so i got a spring for the 2nd and the pinless pistons. so it left me with no pin for the spacers and didnt have a spring for the fourth piston. So is it a bad idea not using one in the 4th piston?

I have been using torlon ***** with new separator plates for years without one single issue that I can remember. At least 10 years is that tells you anything. The only issue I could see is if the ***** are getting stuck because your plate was really beat up before installing the torlon *****. Vince

yeah thats what im worried about is them d=sticking because it is beat up.
Ok got to check the codes and the only one that is showing is"code84 3-2 downshift feedback fault(odm)"
what do yall think? im about to go drop the pan and valve body and probally just change the ***** to the steel ones for safe measure. and try to double check everything down below.
Please let me know if that code brings up some flags

ok well there is a chance i might had had the 3-2 selenoid connector plugged in backwards since the clip broke off it..Would this cause it by any chance? I went ahead and changed the selenoid out and will be plugging it in correctly for sure this time lol. anything else that should be checked while apart?

Just to confirm, the sep. plate takes a pounding from the steel ones. I also used Torlon ***** in my build.

UPDATE
Decided to drive it to work this morning and is still doing the original problem took off and shifted fine when i left the house but take off from first stop felt like im taking off in third again. It shfts ok on the highway and goes into overdrive and lockup like it should as well as coming out of it. I am now thinking it feels like i maybe taking off in 2nd but is hard to tell. Also when i came to a stop off the highway the car rocked back and fourth almost like reverse and forward gear was on at the same time...its how i would picture a trans brake working. The car felt like it was hyydraulically locked in place. i took off and dropped it down in 1st but didnt help very much.
What can this be? is it possible something is causing reverse to come into play?
