Default LCA Relocation Bracket Question

Yesterday I started installing the laundry list of suspension mods I've accumulated for my car. While I was under my car installing other items I looked over what I would have to do to install my LCA Relocation Brackets. I noticed that I have to remove and cut a brake bracket. I only looked it over quickly but I couldn't see how to remove it completely. I'm not 100% sure on how to remove the brake line that goes through the bracket. This is what I'm talking about.

I figure when I take the tires off today and look at it from a different angle it will become obvious. The thing is I figure I'd make up a quick thread just in case it isn't obvious. That way I wont have any snags along the way.

I believe the bracket goes on each side of the LCA mount. If you cut one side off you'll still have the other side.

sorry but what relocation brackets you have?

they look a little different. they look welded up instead of being bent and nice.

I have the UMI bolt on ones. That picture is off of UMI's site. The UMI Relocation Brackets are real nice pieces!

I cut part of my bracket off, with no issue.

I just cut the brackets with a 4" angle grinder without removing them. That way I don't have to deal with bleeding the brakes, which would be required if you removed the line.

Just put the bolt in from the outside hole without going all the way through. Take a pair of channel locks and bend the bracket back to where it is clearing the corner of the existing control arm mount and cut the unneeded portion off.

Sounds like the plan! I guess I'll just clime under there with the grinder and get stuff done!

Does that bracket need to be cut on LT1 cars? I didn't have any issues on my car. It did take some work getting the bolts to slide through.

I've typed out a post about 3-4 times this month and then forgot to hit "post". Getting older is great.

On huge long posts, I often use notepad and save then copy and paste. Too many times have I hit "post" and then gotten the "couldn't find page.." error.

But anyways, back on topic
