Well, I finally did some more work on my car, and completely finished the front of my car.

These are the well known C5 wide spoke wheels, black with machined lip. All four are 18x10.5" with a 56mm offset. I'm running Hankook 285/35/18 V12 Evo tires on the front, and Hankook 315/30/18 Ventus R-S2 tires in the rear. I was planning on going with a really sticky tire setup and run these on the track, but decided against that, as I have another set of C5 wheels sitting in my garage that are just begging for some slicks. So, I just decided to get some average tires.

Anyways, the fronts were very easy to fit. All I did was get a 1/2" spacer, and I ground on my steering knuckle a bit. There is a little "nub" on the steering knuckle that I ground down flat. Then I just recoated the knuckle with some under body coating for a rust free finish.

The rears were easy as well, just had to center the axle and pound the inner fender in, in the normal I'm running 315s areas. I'm also going to roll my fender lip, but I won't do that right away.

I only have pictures of the fronts on at this time. I plan on getting the car out of the garage later this week with the rears on. Then I'll get some more pictures.

Nice. I should have my deep dish C5's (18x10.5 all around w/ Machined face and black windows) on sometime next week. I didn't think it'd take that much modifying for the fronts. Everyone else that has done it hasn't said anything about grinding on the steering knuckles. Hell, powerhousecamaro said he just needed a 1/8" spacer and they bolted on just fine. But, he has an LT1 Camaro, and you have an LS1 Bird. But, I wouldn't think things would be that much different.

Well, some people might not be as **** as I am either. I wanted at least a 1/2" of clearance from the steering knuckle to my wheel/tire. I want to make sure when there is sidewall flex that it doesn't get anywhere near the knuckle. I road race the car, and if I do decide to run these tires on the track, I don't want to have to worry about them ever making contact.

I don't see how it would even be close to safe if he ran a 1/8" spacer.

But to each their own.

Does the back not rub on your finder lip it looks like you got it lowered. I just got my lowering springs on mine.

I'd say I have about 1.5" of clearance between the top of the tire and the fender. The tire will touch the fender if it rolls to one side too much. But, I'm going to roll my fender after I move, so it shouldn't be a problem after that. And yes my car is lowered. It has a pro kit on it.

Not trying to hijack your thread~~~~~.....

I was looking into these until I was told they are way to heavy for RR or AX, but I like the setup!!!!

I would of totally gone with the chrome ones though!

Here's what I ended up with 18x10.5 all 4s.....Z06 Alcoas and Speedlines 58mm offset, just got them on yesterday. Toyo888s F 295/30 and 305/35 rear. The rears are sick I will eventually run 305/35s all around.

BTW no spacers with a 295/30 up front....bigger tires will require a small spacer 3/16" and up depending on the tires. Will need to roll the rear fenders a little.

This will be strictly for AutoX..........keeping the 10spokes for DD.

I got the eibach pro kit on my 94 trans am and i got 18/10.5 i got from oe wheels and i was just checkin on fitment issues.

You talking about the shoelace string I used as a make shift plumb-bob?

If so, I used that to help center the rear.
