Default Rear main seal install.

Anybody in SW Florida knows how to do one or has the time to do one and make a couple of bucks? or know of any shops that will do them for quite cheap?

Thanks

Trevor i'll kill you. lol. Actually just pulled the Tranny pan off and after 160 the oil is dark pink.

Let's just say i might have had maybe 2 quarts of oil in the car

We are pulling the tranny tomorrow, installing the shift kit, then going to change the oil pan gasket too. Any tips on getting that in and out? And when we pull the tranny out, should be have a brace of something to hold the motor up since i heard the tranny was one of the supports for the engine?

<-- Noob.

We will probably be doing both pan gaskets.

It's a B&M Transgo kit.

you might be able lift the motor but honestly i would leave it alone. just change the rear main and be done with it. also i would buy one from gm not autozone (but maybe that`s just me). if you have any problems later feel free to call me

Yeah I don't think so I got a quote from a dealer for $1250 for a rear main seal replace ment. I just kept the oil up until I needed to redo the tranny then I had one done.

maybe there was a miss understanding. buy the part from gm. not have them do it. the gaskets from gm are not priced badly.i wouldn`t really pay a shop to do it either as i have all the tools space and time.
