Nice times.. Stock fuel system and stock rear.. Nice to see the rear holding to the kind of 60' I was also wondering what the stock FP is good to. Now I am not too worried about spraying a 100 shot on the TR236 for a dyno tune.

Yep, I keep tellin' people these stock fuel systems will do more than they think. Some folks think it's maxed out with heads/cam running NA.

Sweet times and killer MPH.

I for one am surprised the stock fuel system is keepin up on the dope. In the pic below you can see what happened to a firends car with heads/cam and a 125 shot when the fuel pump couldn't keep up

4mulaJoe, did he have a fuel pressure gage? Dry shot or wet?

With any nitrous setup, it's best to start with the small pills and work your way up one step at a time while carefully Autotapping along the way. By doing this you should be able to catch it starting to run lean before it's too late. A fuel pressure gage is also a very good idea in any high HP or power adder setup.

You don't even need a fuel gauge if your using a fuel pressure safety switch that is properly set up.

It better be properly setup. I've seen many of them set way too high (seems like most of them used to come that way. I don't know if that's still the case or not) and a few set too low.

It was an NX wet kit. I know there could have been other factors, but I don't see the stock pump supporting 570rwhp. I'd have to be proven wrong on a dyno.

With an M6 (more efficient drivetrain) in a 98 or an '01-'02, I can see maybe 550 RWHP (it's been done before.) 570 is certainly pushing it though! I wouldn't have tried that without some careful testing to confirm that it would work, such as what I described in my last post.

Colonel, correct me if I am wrong but the fuel pump is the same in the years correct? I could see 98-02 pulling the same RWHP off the stock pump, just depending on the size of the N20 shot.

450rwhp NA / 100 shot (98, 01-02)
400rwhp NA / 150 shot (99-00)

The '98, '01, and '02s have the higher capacity pumps. The '99s and '00s got the smaller ones.

Nah, different pumps too. Don't ask me why. I don't see why they need injectors or pumps as big as what they have in any year to support stock power levels...but I'm glad they come that way. I'm making roughly 425 RWHP and I'm not even thinking about the fuel system at this point.

<----to GM for the fuel systems.
