Default who has removed their whole harness?

Since I'm going the carb route I will not be needing the engine harness. And I would like to remove the chassis harness as well. How can I still have my lights and power windows work? Does painless sell like a kit or something?

I do it all the time. I use a Speedwire kit. The power windows and locks are their own harness. I just keep that part and the tail light harness and rewire.

Yes, I removed everything, and started from scratch. Got a painless 21 circuit kit, and re wired the whole car. I reused the power window, lock and tail light harness like Madman said, everything else is new.
I have power windows, locks, keyless entry, power mirrors, wipers, horn, factory Firebird pop up headlights, fuel level gauge, factory ignition switch, and Daytime Running Lights because I think the look sinister on a TA!

im in the same boat as you. went carbed and completely gutted my entire harness tail to nose. all im doing to mine is re-using the talight harness and wiring to the brake light switch and the headlight switch. heads light are still wired like the factory to the headlight switch. no turn signals, hazards or any of the the interior lighting, bcm....all gone. just running marker lights and headlight. manaul doors to. then wire up the simple msd 6010 box. and wire up a switch board to control ignition, fans, water pump, fuel ect.

for the power windows all you have to do is put power to the brown wire. make sure you use a big enough fuse as these draw some current. for locks i believe it is just an orange wire. headlights and tail lights are pretty straight forward if you are comfortable with wiring.

Yea that's what I'm gonna do. Scrap all the wiring except the ones for the lights and windows. Man there's about an astronotical unit worth of wiring in this dam thing. I'm glad I'm goin carb wayyyy simpler.

We gutted all the wiring out of Triggers car. Havn't got to the point of re-wiring it yet, but there was a ton of wire and weight that came out!

Anyone use that? How many circuits would it take to wire my front and rear lights along with one window? And how does one put a switch in there you just splice into it? Or anyone have something like this but better? I only want to wire my fans, lights, one window and a nitrous system.

I used the 8-circuit roll cage panel with fused circuit. I only use the lights, fuel, fans, Ignition, water pump, nitrous.

For the guys running the lights and door lock harness. Aren't there other wires hooked into all of that? Like the speakers and such into the tail light harness and some other stuff hooked into the headlight harness? I'm still on the edge of going to carb. I don't know if my 383 would like it? Just hate trying to relocate all these wires in the engine bay. I want to pull the fuse boxes out and bring them inside the car. Also the wires from when I did the wire mod, I want to remove since I want to remove the inner fender shrouds. I just need lights, power windows. Can things like my ignition and factory gauges work off a painless kit?
