i know there is a technique to doing it without DCing the condenser on an LT1 camaro. but i couldnt figure out how to do it when i swapped my cam in the caddy.

but i figured there may be someone out there who is sharp enough to figure it out.

it would make the cam swap 100 bucks cheaper if we didnt have to recharge the AC every time, and would be some good knowledge for guys who are looking to tackle a cam swap....

I did mine without taking the condenser out. You need an extra hand to hold it out of the way.

I didn't have to take mine out. I unhooked it all from the core support and then dropped it at an angle (I had it on jackstands) until I could fit the cam out. worked perfectly

Same here. Had it on stands and let the condenser hang out the bottom.

Easily done without removal. Simply stabalize it up and to the side just enough to slide the cam out/in. Watch those A/C lines as you stabalize it! You don't want anything to bend/snap. Go slow and think it thru. Set yourself up for success. Its really simple bro.

I had mine hanging at a angle from the hood lath.. Just gotta be gental with the a/c lines but they will move enough.

long many hours is the cam job from start to finish, and for all the parts how much are we talkin? doing a mild cam how will that affect your mpg if you daily drive it?

ehh yes an no, I have a work truck/beater for work and winter.

Other then that yes its my main transportation. Which is why i went with a small cam, but now I wish I went alittle bigger
