What is the max for an LS1?
I am putting together a 427ci. LS1 with Dragonslayer crank, Oliver rods, and Diamond forged pistons. This motor is going to be running 12.25-1 compression. I was just wondering what the max shot you can run on this setup would be. I know this is a matter of opinion on what is safe and what is not but I'm just looking for some feedback on this subject.

There's tons of variables on what you can hit that with. dry/wet, single/multiple stages, DP/nozzle/plate, is the entire motor ARP studded? what bearings? Heads? Cam? What Gas? Progressive controller or straight hit?

The main thing that will limit you will be how good your tuner is..... You would be surprised at what it would hold with a pro reading plugs and doing all the tuning.
Personally, I wouldn't hesitate to hit it with 500+ if it were staged.
Like Tim99 said, WAY too many variables.....

It will be ARP fully studded, with dart 250cc heads, a wet two stage kit through a TNT two stage power ring, it will be a custom cam, on 110 race fuel, more than likely a straight hit system. Sorry for not filling in those blanks before. I am more than likely going to have a good shop in Grand Rapids Michigan do the tuning.
