how much can you safely bore over a 6.0 iron block?

its a wise idea to have inspected by machine shop before boring.
im at 4.060 no probs.

I wouldnt go any further than 4.060, consult your engine machinist

I've heard that not all blocks will go to 4.06... have it checked out first.

oh i know about having it checked first... just wasnt sure how much i could bore it over and still be in the safe zone with a good block... thanks for the responses guys..

I havn't herd of anyone going more than .060 over. Obviously 30 over is safer but plenty of people are running 60 over.

Im pretty sure i remember seeing a thread where a guy took one to .090... but he had to try a couple different blocks before he found one that would go that far.
