There are a bunch of random bolts in the motor that fit the cyl head holes. I was messing around the other day and found a bunch of misc engine bolts that fit those hoes. Its like everything is the same size on the engine

3/8-16 bolts will fit, but be aware they will strip the threads in the head when tightened!

3/8 is def smaller than 10mm....why would you even suggest a standard bolt in a metric threaded hole?

Sigh... I wish people would actually read posts. I certainly did NOT suggest it, I merely stated "they will strip". This was posted in hopes of PREVENTING some dumba$$ from accidentally trying to use a 3/8"-16 bolt (believe me, there are pleny of them out there who have already done this). In your capacity, you of all people should know...

Maybe you should not have even brought it up in the first place? Just because you want to be a wise guy doesnt mean the rest of us do. If you do not suggest it, then why would they try it? Maybe it should have read do not use 3/8?

that is why i said why even suggest it? he appears to be learned enough to understand the LS engine is metric, so its not nice to insult said intelligence with an answer like you stated

John: I'm not gonna spar with you. You've been here long enough to see plenty of "stripped thread" stories, I'm just trying to save someone some grief. You're too good a guy to get involved in a pointless pi$$ing match.

To anyone else who cares: Use only metric fasteners on the LS motors! In all of the holes! Hope this saves someone some stripped threads...
