Default Need Help!! Bad grinding noise from rear wheel well

Awhile this started, but its getting worse fast. When I hit a bump at a certain point (wouldnt do it every time) with my rear driverside tire I would get this loud grinding sound like something was stuck in my wheel well, could feel a grinding in the car and then would go away after just a second. Now its doing it more often, and when it does it lasts for up to 5 seconds before it stops. Its odd, it does the grinding when it hits a bump, but when it hits a dip I hear something metal like coming fromm the suspension, like theres something lose. But when I get under the car I see nothing. I just rebuilt my rearend and there was nothing wrong in there so it is something in the suspension. Any advice or specific place to look please let me know! My friend that works at a dealership is even baffled by this.

Does it do it when braking? I had a rear caliper come loose and it made a similar type sound. But since it was the lower bolt that went missing the caliper would rotate back into place when going forward and would rotate out of place under bumps and backing up.

Caliper is fine. Had it off while rebuilding the rear. Stock rims, 275/40-17. And I see Jo marks on the bump stop when I looked at it. Should. Try taking out the shock and spring and checking them more closely?

Well, in my wifes 99 TA it was grinding from the right rear. It was the axle and axle bearing going at it hard. Axle lost. New axles are a lot more than I thought.

Going to bring this back up. Found out that it is the bracket holding in the Ebrake in the wheel got bent and the ebrake pad was bouncing around when I hit a bump. So I bent it all back, tighened down the screw, took it for a test drive and didnt hear a thing no matter how big a bump I hit. Lasted about a month or more now and it didnt it again. So now Im guessing the metal in the bracket is weak so I need to replace it or it will keep bending under stress. Hope this helps other people out that are having this problem and cant figure it out.
