Seeing how you are going with a 17 in wheel you shouldn't have any issues. Below is a link to show you what UMI Performance has to offer and it will also explain what wheels can be used or not.

If you have any other questions feel free to ask and I will be more than glad to help.
Thanks
Brad

You will need LS1 spindles for the C5 conversion. LT1 spindles are the old style and will not work.

*EDIT - I was incorrect, LT1 spindles will work with a LOT more cutting.

Both spindles will work. LT1 spindles will just require more modification than LS1 spindles.

So basically you have to cut the caliper mounts off to use LT1 spindles, whereas with the LS1 spindles you just need to cut off one of the mounting ears to mount C5 calipers. That makes sense then, its just a lot of cutting.

Pretty much, Ive read its a big improvement over the stock LT1 brakes. The biggest advantage I see with getting this kit is finding brake pads and replacement parts much easier than a SSBC, Baer, Wilwood, or Brembo kit. Which means less down time. Not to mention the price.

The hoop brk. is called a abutment bracket. See pic.
You DO need the C5 abutment ( it bolts on with bigger bolts 14M )

Here's a writeup that should help.

Wheel spacers?? Shouldn't need any. The C5 calipers don't stick out any further than the stock LS1 brakes.

Brad from UMI- (hey brad) was awesome in answering my Q's about the Z06 upgrade for my 93 T/A back in spring and the bracket from them went on perfect.

I have 17x9.5 ZR1 wheels in front and the only co-mods I had to do was grind off the factory caliper mounting ears, and then ever-so-slightly grind down the outer part of the calipers as they were rubbing against the wheel wieghts. You may not need to touch the calipers depending where your weights are.

Heres pics of my UMI brackets and Z06 calipers- almost too nice to put ON the car .....

UMI site says Torque Thrusts have fitment issues... I heard something about the spoke hitting.
