With a procharger the 6 rib will fit on the stock crank pully, 8 rib and higher will require a aftermarket pully. The 8 rib is the most common but there are guys running 10 and 12 rib pullies.

So the main thing for the supercharge is the Pully or the Rib

Yea...the more "ribs" the less belt slip...8+ rib is better and allows you to run more boost without the belt slipping as bad.

Yes if you are going to run a 8 rib or higher ( 10, 12, ect ) you will need to change the crank pully.

What car are you talking about? 4th gen fbody? 5th gen fbody? c5/c6 corvette? GTO? For example, the c5/c6 corvettes use the same accessory pulleys, but the fbodies use a dedicated pulley system. Need more info to answer your question.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it!

The Pontiac G8 GT ProCharger systems add an 8 rib assembly to the engine.

The blower is facing the same direction as it is on a ProCharger GTO system.
