67-69 ss emblems will work. I played around with a emblem off of my 67 and it will work too. Everyone uses the 69 emblems though.

I used the clear epoxy from any car parts store. I set the grille on the badge and let the epoxy build up between the grille and behind the SS badge. It wil not come off.

I actually used a 67-68 SS emblem which is not as sharp of a 'V' shape as the '69 emblem, and it sits perfectly flush with my billet grille. There are only a couple of my style grille set-ups around my area and they're all '69 emblems that fit like **** or they had to be dremeled down to sit flat. As for holding it on, it should have 2 posts on the back that fit in the grille held on by a retainer plate and a couple of speed nuts.
