Air Pump Reversed?

Air Pump Reversed? This may seem useless but has anyone tried reversing the air pump to blow
into the intake instead of sucking air out? I thought about just reversing it
and rather than just have it blow at idle when cold, wiring it to a switch that
a can flip on and off like while at WOT. Anyone ever try anything like this?

Alright first off i forgot to mention this is on a car with the air and egr removed from the exhaust so u would have more fresh air being pumped into the intake rather than it
being sucked out, because yes the air does get pumped into the exhaust but if the air being pumped out was to be reversed and the exhaust ports blocked ud be allowing more
fresh cold air to be pumped into the intake

Those air pumps flow <1 CFM, they will do nothing for you except create a source of unmetered air. You are sucking up more power turning the pulley then you could ever expect to gain out of this.

Has anyone even seen or felt how hard these blow and the air comin out of it
is actually the ambient air temp rather than the hot air under the hood. also
there is no way that its going to hurt as far as unmetered air its before the
MAF not after another thing is tha tif you are going to try to say that the air
pump is drawing enough power to be a huge load on the engine then i guess
u loose horsepower by listening to your radio too

the best idea would be to put it on a switch and use in for a vacuum pump for the cranck case you'd see more out of that than the little air you stuff into the engine plus it would have to be pre m.a.f. sensor now if it was a small 4 banger it might be a tenth or 2

so basically im not expecting huge gains or anything but if im not mistaking
the more cold/dense air you can supply the better off you are for power and
effiency now im not expecting or trying to convince anyone its a substitute
for forced induction, just another method of supplying the car with cold air.
the way i figure it is the gains i get by removing that would be equivalent to
removing my stock radio,from a wieght and electrical load aspect, but by
leaving it i have found yet another way to make the car that much more
efficient without losing much i mean the way i see it, its a free mod

It's not gonna help anything to blow that small amount of air into the open air box. Even if it did flow enough to make a difference it would just blow the air out the opening of the lid. You would have much better results from a ram air setup and the reduced weight of removing the pump completely.

This thread is a joke right? One, it will do nothing. Two, your car is already getting cold air from underneath it. Do the free ram air mod to open up the cavity some more.

lets see if we have an engine trying to suck in as much air as it can at 6000 RPM giving it access to a lil more air no matter how little u may think it is. it can only help and for the "weight savings" they are minimal
