Default Ring selection for a little spray?

I am going through my 383 over the winter and setting it up for a 100-250 shot next year. And switching the cam for a nitrious friendly grind.

Should I take the Hasting molly rings out and put a better n2o ring set in the motor?

Any recommendations?

If you are going over 150 I would recommend going to a steel/napier ringset. The stainless steel top ring will help deflect some of the heat and will withstand more abuse than a standard plasma-moly ring. What pistons do you have in your combo? Do you know if they are a standard 1.5/1.5/3mm setup? Let us know and we can more than likely get you setup with the right ring for your combo.

Jon, thanks for the advice. It has diamond -2cc flat tops in it. 3.905" bore. Could you PM me a price on them. I looked through your site a few times for rings and did not see much. I'll look again.

Thanks Jon. The diamond rings are a little on the expensive side. I will do a little research for a while and get back to you if I go with the diamond rings.

What about these? They do not say anything about n2o usage.
