that sounds about right. IIR the stock compression on a 5.3 is 9.5:1 with bigger combustion chambers with thinner gaskets, it's prob right around there.

You'll need a 56cc chamber with. 045 head gaskets or 57cc chambers with the lowest quench you should run. 035 with cast pistons and. 040 gaskets, my 5.3 was. 005 outa the hole with 61cc heads and a 9cc dish stock, imho id use the 5.3. 862 heads, they work very well with boost

well i need to know asap what to cut off. if .006 equals 1cc then cutting .030 would give me a 59cc chamber and with in the 10.2 range. but what proplems would i run into? like cam clearances. my cams going to be a 224\228 .581\.588 and what about intake clearance with a fast 90? and am i going to need to grind my dowel pins?
