Default Huge question PLEASE HELP

So i am a college student and im plaining on driving back home to austin for huntsville today and when i went to go get breakfast this morning my battery was COMPLETELY dead. I would go get a new battery for it but remember i am a college student, aka im **** pore lol. Now to my question, if i jumped it and let it run for like 10 mins would it drive back to austin without dying on me? The drive is right at 3 hours fyi. Thanks guys.

as long as your alternator is good, the alternator will recharge the battery as you drive. as an extra precaution, i wouldnt turn it off untill you get to your destination...

if it still dies, then your alternator is bad....

Using your alternator to charge a rather dead battery, will wear out your alt prematurely, and you'll be stuck having to replace your battery and your alt. In that 10 minutes you drive around, go to a Vatozone and have your battery recharged (it's FREE). Walk around the store for an hour, or take a nap in your car. Either way, you'll be good to go on your trip...safely...and for the most part, worry free.
