Question LS4 guys help with W-body.

OK so I know the cars aren't the same, but I have an 08 GP that is chewing the rear tires off on the inside. I know this is a common issue, but I can't find any real answers on how to fix the problem. I read a thread a while back on a camber kit. Anyone fix this or know how? I found a few sites that sells lateral arms that are adj. would that be the way to go? Thanks guys.

The Camber kit works well....personally my Monte ate up a set of KDW's in 15K on the rear.....my fix was a good alignment.

Bell Tire did a great job with the alignment and since there have been no issues.

Also you have to have to have to rotate all 4 ever 5K....

There are camber bolts that can help with that just search my threads I posted about it. Others have as well.

Also go to a shop that specializes in alignments.

Try to take it to an independent shop with a good rep. The dealer will align it to factory specs which may not fix your wear. I chassis work and alignments and get vehicles from the dealer to align and they are almost never set to wear tires well.

Moog Chassis Parts makes "Cam bolts" that are like a cam lobe to add another +/-2 degrees in the alignment. the kit says you need 2 for each side but one on each side will work fine. take it to an independent alignment shop and tell them you want it aligned so the wheels are STRAIGHT, not factory specs. The factory sets them a little toed in on top for "better handling" which over time toes in more causing your tires to wear like a bitch.
