Default Wiper problem

When I use my wipers on my Trans Am, they stop in the up position instead of stopping in the down position they also smack the bottom when they go down.

When I turn them off the go down but not all the way.

So basically when I have my wipers on there in the up position instead of down.

Sounds like you need a new wiper motor. This has been the fix for me on a couple of cars with the same/similar issues. BTW if you call the dealer for a price make sure you lube up first!

you could also try disconnecting the linkage from the motor then move the wipers to the down position and put the nut back on....then see if it moves normally. The linkage may have slipped if the wipers stuck while in motion.
