how easy will it be to hit 350-375hp out of a 350 with lt1 heads (off the old lt1)? i want to use a higher rpm cam and eddy stage 1 intake manifold, and long tubes is it possable without spending over $650?

btw i already have the motor..this is if my dad lets me use it..if not im using the 350 out of his truck with votec heads

It is as easy as a set of vortec heads and a small cam.

Well, LT1 is going to need a special intake but the short block itself can withstand a ton of abuse.

x2 on the vortec heads and smaller cam. 350hp is a walk in the park.

Well, with 350 HP there is no real RPM to it. If you wan higher revs you will need higher end parts so it will stay together and you will end up with WAY more power.

ok so heres what im thinkin in parts

vortec heads, eddy stage 1 street strip intake manifold, 750cfm carb, maybe balance the internals if i have money, all new gaskets, cam (not sure of the specs yet) headers, summit distributer, coil, and ignition box, aluminum pullys, and get the engine dynoed and tuned up...

and as i said then connected to a t5 with a aluminum flywheel, zoom clutch, rebuild the trans, maybe aluminum driveshaft, and stock ls1 rearend with lsd and 3.42 gears..

i think its a solid setup that shouldnt cost more than 2grand to do..maybe 2500-3000..

on stock vortec heads .480" lift is the absolute max you can go. some guys go .460" to be safe.

no need to balance the internals on this project, it wont be a screamer.

a 670 carb should be all you need.

i usually go 650cfm max with my smallblocks, with some exceptions. but you should be able to get the 750 tuned in to work good. x2 on the vortec and small cam!
