Default Another next mod thread

I have a 98 trans am with full bolt-ons minus LT headers and a little nitrous. I am having trouble deciding what my next mod should be. I am kicking around the idea of either LT headers or a stall, something around a 3600/3800. I have a B & M tranny cooler to help with the stall. What are your thoughts? I am in college and it is really hard to mod so this is my one mod this year, thanks for the input everyone!

Sounds like i'll be ordering some headers, thanks for the replies... but out of curiosity what makes you all say headers over a stall?

A good stall will make it more fun to drive and will net you more time off of your e.t. . Headers will give you @20-25 RWHP and knock off .2-.3 tenths in the 1/4 .
A 3600 -3800 stall will add no hp but will knock off at least .5 tenths in the 1/4 .( traction permitting ) It will also get rid of most of the dead spots and put you into (and keep you in) your peak power with a higher shift extension .
Dollar for dollar ,a high stall converter is your biggest bang for your buck ,besides a power adder (N2O, supercharger or turbo )

I already have the Nitrous, but no suspension or rear end to get it out of the hole so I don't really know if a stall would really help me. I also still have the stock 2.73's

Does a stall mess with driveability at all? This is my DD and I don't want to put my foot through the floor to keep it at a red light.

That's why I'm leary of doing a converter. I don't want to drive around feeling like my tranny is slipping all the time.

How about gears? Those 2.73's suck...I should know, I have them too. Try and find a rear out of a M6 car, you get 3.42's that way and it's an easy swap.

I say stall, in my old A4, i had a yank 3200 (which is kinda small stall) and it still knocked .5 seconds off my track time. completely stock motor with shorty headers (waste of money) I ran a 12.9.
I added a wet 100 shot and ran 11.7

I say stall it!
