Forced Induction is going to be your best bet to keep it street friendly. Make a post over in the FI section and they should be able to help you out more.
Look at EPP for their ProCharger kits, might be the best way to go. Or Depending on your fabrication skills a truck manifold turbo system could hit your goals.
FWIW you will be pushing the stock bottom end with 500 hp to the wheels. Might want to look into a new shortblock or having yours built.

What is the reason for wanting to make 500rwhp? You have a M6 car so getting 500rwhp N/A to the ground isn't as hard as it would be with an A4 car. You can put the AFR, ETP or Trick flow heads with a big cam to get there. My point by asking you the question in the first sentence is. Are your goals strictly for HP or are you looking for a certain E.T. time to run at the track? Personaly I wouldn't stroke an LS1 block because the money that it would cost to stroke it isn't worth the gains that you would get. If you are looking for a stroker then just go with a LS2 or LS3 block.

haha....no now days kind of easy....just have to have the cash...depends on what way you are going to look at it though. Heads and cam is usally good for 360-to 450 rwhp depending on how mild to wild your combo is. H/C cost is usally around 800 skimping to 3000 and way up for a good set up...now if you wanted more cheap hp, a nitrous kit with tuning will run you about 500 to 2000+. now add a 150 shot to a 400 rwhp car and BAM!!! 550rwhp...
...or so you think....!
Now going that route, buying what i have...i currently have 10K into my car. You may think 10K what??? where???...well with anything much more then 350 rwhp will require a new clutch....once you put in a clutch you will end up with shifting problems....trust me go monster...tick master and remote bleeder...youll thank me later...then youll be good for that 400 rwhp...Till you get into launching the car to be faster THEN its time to deal with the rear end...IT WILL NEVER LAST...take my word for it, trust everyone on tech.
....lets not get started in forced induction yet if your chasing hp......witch should be after suspension and driveterrane anyways...keep reading and just keep looking for anything people do to mod there cars
500 hp and above check list
-driver
-ls1-2-3-6-7
-suspension, sfc's
-clutch/stall
-rear...or gears
-fuel system good for 500+
-tires
-bolt-ons
then start looking at different routes. good luck

Go look in the dyno section and the drag racing section and see what people are making and how they got there. I don't think you've set a very reasonable goal N/A. That's the highest rwhp goal possible in a N/A street LS1 car, and you used the word "easy" in the same sentence. That's like asking, "What's the easiest way to win a gold medal in the Olympics?" 450 rwhp is a very healthy N/A street car.

Anything is doable but at what price ?
The first thing you should have is a budget and if it's less than 10k your in trouble as a previous posted said there is clutch and rear end as well as a fuel system to consider as well as the engine go fast bits.
The stock bottom end is fine for big Hp just chuck some rod bolts in it for security at high RPM's.
cheers

e/t's and dyno talk would b nice... but this is still going to b a driver, not a track car.. a tire smoking, hard cam lope, electric cutouts(been watchin youtube) lol... just a test and tune kinda car, nice wheels, paint, points car! BUT having all that and still being able to run low 11's would b AWESOME!!!

(keepin this number away from the wife) around $8,500... i wanna stack all the go fast parts in the barn until everything has been purchased and then drop it off at a good ls1 builder, shop, etc.... so more money will more than likely b added but for now just 8,500...
