painted my muffler!
K so a couple days ago i pulled my muffler and the pipes off my car to fix a weld that cracked... while i had my muffler off i decided i wanted to paint it black
what to ya think? ...other than that my car needs a wash
right when i pulled it off...
washed and wet sanded it
while i had it off i saw the gas tank...
so i painted it too
heres before
heres after
i like how it turned out. too bad im not keepin this system much longer!
sorry for all the pics..

Yeah, that was not the gas tank. . . LoL. . . .
I done this before with both, just regular rattle can paint and VHT.
The regular spray will last for a few months if that. The VHT or Barbecue type paint will last for a while.

i was looking that like "wtf? that's not the gas tank. the gas tank is right behind the back seat"
as for whether or not it will last. how hot does the exhaust get compared to the intake manifold? My intake manifold has been painted with primer/base/clear high temp paint from autozone for almost 2 years and the paint looks fine.

regardless i dont think it was heat that ruined my exhaust when i painted it. i used high temp paint and daily drove it through rain and salted roads. daily driving and painted exhaust dont mix.
