Anybody seen whats in our new Healthcar bill? Take a look at. I recieved this in an email. I don't know if it is 100% true, but I believe it is unless someone can give me evidence otherwise. I was kinda shocked, especially with all the protest how it passed in the first place.

This letter appeared in the Indianapolis Star (which is owned by the same people who own the Arizona Republic) and was sent to a very popular Indiana Senator. This just goes to show everyone what pressure these Democrats are currently under, so continue to let them know how you feel about the healthcare bill.

As a practicing physician I have major concerns with the health care bill before Congress. I actually have read the bill and am shocked by the brazenness of the government's proposed involvement in the patient-physician relationship. The very idea that the government will dictate and ration patient care is dangerous and certainly not helpful in designing a health care system that works for all. Every physician I work with agrees that we need to fix our health care system, but the proposed bills currently making their way through congress will be a disaster if passed.
I ask you respectfully and as a patriotic American to look at the following troubling lines that I have read in the bill. You cannot possibly believe that these proposals are in the best interests of the country and our fellow citizens.
Page 22 of the HC Bill: Mandates that the Govt will audit books of all employers that self-insure!!
Page 30 Sec 123 of HC bill: THERE WILL BE A GOVT COMMITTEE that decides what treatments/benefits you get.
Page 29 lines 4-16 in the HC bill: YOUR HEALTH CARE IS RATIONED!!!
Page 42 of HC Bill: The Health Choices Commissioner will choose your HC benefits for you. You have no choice!
Page 50 Section 152 in HC bill: HC will be provided to ALL non-US citizens, illegal or otherwise.
Page 58 HC Bill: Govt will have real-time access to individuals' finances & a 'National ID Health card' will be issued! (Papers please!)
Page 59 HC Bill lines 21-24: Govt will have direct access to your bank accounts for elective funds transfer. (Time for more cash and carry)
Page 65 Sec 164: Is a payoff subsidized plan for retirees and their families in unions & community organizations: (ACORN).
Page 84 Sec 203 HC bill: Govt mandates ALL benefit packages for private HC plans in the 'Exchange.'

Page 167 Lines 18-23: ANY individual who doesn't have acceptable HC according to Govt will be taxed 2.5% of income.
Page 170 Lines 1-3 HC Bill: Any NONRESIDENT Alien is exempt from individual taxes. (Americans will pay.) (Like always)

I am not into politics really, but just like any other blue collar worker that pays the most in taxes (Middle Class) etc... I just try to keep up with what is happening in our governemt so I can see what I need to be voting for the next time I am trying to decide who to vote for etc... And I get some emails from friends that are doing the same and trying to pass on info that we find.

is really true, i mean it's pretty scary... i mean they want to control what doctor i go see, or if i am even worth "fixing" and then tell me how and when im going to die??? oh and then control my things after im dead? that is scary, very scary!
doctors being paid all the same no matter what? **** so why go to school and be a brain surgen when you could just do the basic doctor **** and get paid the same as the brain surgen... oh and if the a patient has to be re-admitted, they will review and then penalize the doctor for that???? wow, im only 20 years old and im not sure what is in the future for me...

I just moved back from one and the US could learn a ton from that tiny little island. They have no direct taxes on anything and really affordable healthcare due to realy good tort legislation. If you sue someone over there and lose you have to pay for all of their legal expenses. If you come there to work and can't pass an English test you never leave the airport. They put you on a plane back to where ever you came from. If you try to go there illegaly they arrest you and deport you immediately. They do not mess around with any BS. While I was there these people had found a trash bag full of weed a cocaine on the beach. Well they thought it would be fun to take pictures with all of these drugs before they turned it in. Well the pics got back to the detective and they ended up getting like 6 to 11 years in jail.

Really well lets see your prof that its BS. I looked on snopes with nothing there about it. So no I didn't make the same mistake twice as I checked there before posting it. Not all emails are jokes and propaganda. And I am not saying it is true for sure as I don't know as I haven't seen the 2700 page bill.

I just moved back from one and the US could learn a ton from that tiny little island. They have no direct taxes on anything and really affordable healthcare due to realy good tort legislation. If you sue someone over there and lose you have to pay for all of their legal expenses. If you come there to work and can't pass an English test you never leave the airport. They put you on a plane back to where ever you came from. If you try to go there illegaly they arrest you and deport you immediately. They do not mess around with any BS. While I was there these people had found a trash bag full of weed a cocaine on the beach. Well they thought it would be fun to take pictures with all of these drugs before they turned it in. Well the pics got back to the detective and they ended up getting like 6 to 11 years in jail.

Yeah I am really worried because I am currently pursuing a CRNA degree. I will have a ton of time and cash invested in it. I really hope the nation comes together and elects the right people to go in and repeal the healthcare bill.
