Question For UMI 3-piece bolt in SFC Owner`s

When you guys installed the connectors on your car`s, did you ever come back a couple days, months down the road and take a look at them under neath the car.

Reason I ask is because I always wanted to know if the area where the connectors meet with the under carriage of the car will actually cause damage and scratching to the finish of the vehicle.

I know it`s a minor thing but over time if it wears through enough material, it can potentially cause rust to form.

Thanks!

After I would weld them, I would paint any bare metal that was welded. A can of spray paint should give enough protection from the elements that cause rust.

For those of you with 3pt SFC's...I'm super jealous.

Can you tell a big difference with these?

Anyone know of any sponsors offering a discount on these bad boys? I want the chromoly ones. I know UMI was giving a 20% off discount a while ago, that would be sweet.

I just hope that these are the cure for the torque dimples in the quarter panels. I have a stock car and went to the track to later discover 3-4 light dimples in my quarter panels.

No one ever leaned on the car or anything like that, as this was suggested to me before by tech members.

Hello
Thanks for considering UMI Performance! And yes a set of SFC's will eliminate the body damage to the quarter panels due to the type of torque these vehicles have. And when we manufacture there parts we make sure that there is no clearance issues with them so there will not be any issues with rusting and so on.. If you have any other questions feel free to ask. And I will be more than glad to help.
Thanks
Brad
