Custom EFI Live PID's
Ok, I have read the manual part about making custom PID's with EFI Live v6, maybe i am just stupid, but I cannot follow what the manual says for making a custom PID. Can anyone send me a copy of their text file with the new calculated PID's put in? That way I can look at it, and just base what I want to do off of that example...? My email is JoeKreke@aol.com
I want to get a VE calculation readout, but not in a percentage. I would like to have it come out in units, like measured in LS1 Edit....Thanks.

From NoGo and ChrisB :
VE = {SAE.MAF.gps} *
(SAE.IAT.C + 273.15) / (347 * {SAE.RPM} * {SAE.MAP.kPa}) * 212544
From Paul(EFILive)- Don't forget the curly braces around the {SAE.IAT.C}
PID or EFILive will treat the PID name as {SAE.IAT.C + 273.15} and
complain that ther is no IAT PID with units of "C + 273.15".
So after * 212544 -> multiply by 30 (.......* 212544 * 30). That should give it to youin Edit units.

no, sorry guys, I already knew the formula to calculate VE, and yes V6 does have a PID built in for VE, but it gives the readout in percentage. I cannot change that. I wanted to make my own PID, basically a copy of the one already in EFI Live, with the 30 mulitplier on the end to get corresponding numbers for LS1 Edit.
I just cant follow the manual on how to setup a custom PID....???

Ok, I got in the car, and tried to find the newly created PID, but could not find it. I created it, just like in the other thread. I just got EFI Live this week, so I am still learning with it. Is there something I have to do to make the program refresh the PID's or something...?
