Default who has added cats to their ORY??

current setup is Hooker lt's with a TSP ORY and Hooker catback.... i expected to have some rasp with the ORY but not as much as i got.... so i'm thinking about throwin on some universal cats on the Y pipe to smoothe it out some.. i dont really care if it quietens it down alot cause i have a cutout... as far as the cats ill prob get the thunderbolt high flow cats with the metallic core.... so who has done this and are u glad u did it?

which ones... do u maybe have a link u could send me?

i was lookin on ebay and there a couple different styles of the thunderbolts.... the ones that have the heat shields and the other ones with no heat shields... i think they both have the ceramic core. and were they pretty good on fitment? i was just worried about them hitting the floorboard cause they are 4" in the center

i dont have a link but they look just like the ones that come on a tsp ory. mine does'nt hit the floorboard at all. i got mine off ebay but i cant remember the name of the company i got them from. fitment is great and i had a local shop around here weld them in and it cost me 40 bucks.

I did the same thing. ORY was too raspy and LOUD. So, I put some 3" Thunderbolt High Flow (metal core) stainless steel cats which eliminated the rasp and quieted it down to a low rumble at idle, but brightens up at WOT. I got mine from a guy on eBay. Just did a search and found a bunch of them for good prices.

You'll be happy with the cats.

Would adding a better merge eliminate the rasp or is adding cats the only way?

as for the merge.... a bad merge will give u rasp and having a good merge will help alot but not completely eliminate it... i used to have the flowmaster merge and it was really nice.... the merge on my TSP y-pipe is excellent so in my case a different merge prob wont do anything
