Question strongest T56

Who builds the absolute monster of all T-56? I've spoken with LMR and I don't think its a good idea to pay $$$ for something they and I both agree will break. They quoted me for GForce gears, Viper shafts, and LMR upgrades.

Warranty is null with my plans (too much hp/tq and too many miles) for Texas Mile and fun runs.

Absolute monster t-56 is what Totso racing is using....I think they went with a Jericho though...You can call RPM and see what they to offer....

The C6 Z06 output shaft is also a 30-spline, same as the Viper.

The OP never mentioned if the application was Vette or Fbody.

If Fbody and output shaft diameter is a metric, the SSR is a 32-spline. Doubt that's needed for doing the Texas Mile. From talking to others that have run it, having a late-model double cone synchro on 5th and 6th gear is more important, and a 1pc counter/extension shaft would be icing on the cake.

Sorry guys, powerplant is an iron 402 with 98mm turbo in an fbody.

As far as budget, I'm looking for a compromise between price and time between rebuilds/replacement. The easy way is to have a basic build for about 3 grand, keep a spare T56 at home and replace it every thousand miles (not a good ratio of $3/mile driven). If I spend $6k but it lasts more than 4k miles I can use it at $1.50/mile driven.

Try Mike's build. It's a SSR T56 with 32 splined main shaft and a single piece counter shaft. If you don't 1320, this trans should handle well over 1,000 HP easy. Click here.

I think for the money, a T56 Magnum with a good scattershield like the Quicktime might not be a bad way to go for you.
