Default car is almost done

as the title says im almost done and ready to hit the drag strip and street this weekend. got my exhaust on today slp lm1 got sick of my true duals too low to the ground and i missed the old lm1 so i got it all new again ypipe also and new tires and rims prostars with mt dr 275 60's. Tomorrow i have to do my intake gasket to fix a rear oil leak ive had for a while and delete egr then onto a new opti to fix my high rpm miss and it will be all rapped up. here are some pics of the the progress! this will be the first time the car will have been out of the garage in a year, had a couple bad years of work or lack there of but now im back and loving being able to afford to do stuff to my car!

^thanks I loved the color the second I saw it the first time and had to buy it and it still looks pretty good for the year but it mostly sits in the garage!

But this weekend turned shitty after i installed my opti that i picked up off a member that had it for sale they said it had 10k on it so i figured why not they only wanted 90 bucks for it. I figured it would be a 50/50 chance that it would actually work. Well you do get what you paid for no start up for me this weekend. Car turns over back fires and would huff out the intake as i stopped cranking it, it never did that before and it ran with my old opti just not very good.
So long story short i will be buying a dynaspark this week!

yeah good luck man car looks awesome, i wanna change the color of my car one day its just so damn expensive. Im currently livin at my parents so i really have no tools or anything to do my own car work so i had the opti and waterpump replaced at a friends shop and it set me back a grand with labor and parts. I hope this oem unit lasts a long time. I got it straight from the dealer with a buddies company discount.

for sure man its nice to have a work space for your car. That was alot for that opti its insane what the dealers charge for these parts now adays. When i went to true duels i got rid of all of my rear mounts for the exhaust and went and got them new from the chevy dealer the mounts with intake and valve cover gaskets was over 200 bucks wat a rip oh well we live we learn dont throw away stock parts!lol

went and looked at it today and #6 and #8 were crossed and #2 had a bad plug wire now all my issues are fixed and the car runs great! then took it for a ride and made a full throttle pass and no more high rpm miss or break up so finally i have my car back and running rite now its time for the a trip to the drag strip to see if she will hit 11s on the juice!
