Default Called 2 Dealerships and nothing! Need Bolt information!

I need the F body ls1/t56 bellhousing to engine block bolts.

I have had some trouble finding these bolts. The first dealership I went to gave me the part numbers for the 6 Flywheel bolts! The second said he had the bellhouing to block bolts but he only had 4, and they were $9.80 each! But he did give me a size, 1.75 x 45 mn12. Can anyone help me find where i can get the right bolts?

Most dealers can't find a part if you pointed it out to them. I've hit Byunspeed up for misc bolts and brackets in the past.

Best thing to do is actually go to the dealer and point out the bolts you need on their part breakdown diagrams if no one posts the correct size. Sorry bro, I don't know it.

ARP also makes them, and most of our sponsors carry ARP bolts.

Worst case, go to a real hardware store (not Home Depot/Lowes) and see if they can get your M12x1.75x45 bolts. You probably want hardened bolts as well.

One more thing you could try if you are lucky like I am I have a CAT dealer in town. I take broken bolts to them all the time. They have always been able to find me what I need and in the grade I need. Std or metric.

Yes I am fine with whatever bolt works and doesn't require me to take a second mortgage out on my home!

This is correct - find a Fastenal near you and tell them you need an M10x1.5x40mm long bolt (or how many ever you need). The stock GM bolts have a hex head that takes a 13mm wrench...you may or may not be able to find a head that small. If you end up with a bolt with a bigger head, it might make it even tighter when trying to reach the top bell housing bolts if the engine is installed...just keep that in mind.

^^^what he said. The only head size I could find in the M10x1.5x40 was a 15mm. I had an old junk saturn and ended up using the bell housing bolts out of it for a couple spares. I think they are like 45 long but there are a few holes were the extra length wont hurt anything.

10mm x 1.5 x 40mm "9.8" hardness

GM part # 11516862

Scoggin-Dickey shows them for like $3.89ea. Call'em, maybe they'll make you a little better price for all 7. Bolts like these I prefer to use the factory stuff. They're better.

I had to buy a bag of 50 non-GM bolts w/ the flange-head. Only diff. is the head is slightly shorter. If anyone needs 8 or 7 or a few, PM me.
