Default Optimal Cam ???

I have a 98 Blazer with a stock 5.3. What would roughly be a good cam range for the 5.3 ? Stock converter and manifolds.
Any info on cam selection would be much appreciated.

A 212/218, 112 lsa, would work good.

Mild side...Comp 212/218 Low Lift
Little more agressive...TR 220/220 (2800+ stall recomended)
The Comp 212/218 is probably your best bet with stock stall and makes great torque...and that is what trucks need!

I would suggest a little larger stall if you were planning on even a mild cam.

.550 is good....a tr 220 is 220/550....a 212/218 52x/53x 114lsa would be ideal with stock stall...ALOT of the truck guys do it with great results...just buy it already!
