lt1 has a new clutch and flywheel. light slippage why?
I just bought a new clutch the lt4 clutch without the center spring hubs and a new flywheel from autozone. But I think its slipping Bc my car bogs a little people don't notice it but I do its my car I have a 95 z28 but my rear is off a 97 z28. If that matters. What could be causing a slight slippage, I don't notice my rpms shoot up so I'm really lost here. The original rear end i had would make my tires spin from 1st gear at 20 mph and 2nd . This rear end doesn't .with that being said I had a centerforce dual friction .and now oem. I have msd box ,msd blaster coil, msd 8.5 plugs, k&n CAI, different elbow, jba ceramic headers that's about it. Please help this is my 1st post ever and 1st day on the forum

I'm still breaking it in it has 100 street miles and 180 highway miles, You think that could be it? I hope so. I also haven't done a full tune up in 2 years. Ive only put 5,000 miles a yr and only have 80,050.
Thanks a lot for replying, what clutch aside from centerforce is good? I'm leaning towards the street twin mcclod is that overkill. And Friday I want to install 4.10s ,but everyone says 3.73 . Any opinion on that?

Yea it was auto man I was hit by a drunk driver and found that rear at a junk yard I love my car and I just want it back to the way it was. I want to see the TQ and hp you guys put eventually but i want to get a set up that works great and not spend my money on things I don't need. I know i messed up w jba short tubes, I did delete the cat though

Not for nothin but Centerforce makes some of the best clutches around, almost on par with McLeod.
The LT4 clutch is fairly stout and all, but depending on exactly what Centerforce clutch you used to have, there's a very good chance the LT4 clutch doesn't have close to the grabbing power that the Centerforce had.
That, along with a different ratio rear end gear, could be causing your car to not be able to break the tires loose as easily as you had been able to before.

Twin disk is over kill and right now they are redesigning their master cylinder so the wait is long for one.
When did you change the rear and when did you change the clutch? Were you having any issues with the Centerforce clutch and 97 rear end? Did you change both the clutch and rear end at the same time or close to it?
I would go through and check all your plugs/wires to make sure they are in good condition. Have you gotten a mail order tune or anything or still on a stock tune?

The centerforce was a lot more grabby I had the dual friction with my 95 rear end. I changed my clutch the same day I changed to the 97 rear end and it just feels horrible I don't feel any peddal pressure like the CF, and it does it any where from 2-3,000 rpm I shift at 3 Bc I'm breaking it in. I don't know if its slipping or one of my plugs are out etc. I'm changing my wires ,plugs, and cap and rotor. Do u think its the gears my car has Bc it did come off an auto and its still stock tune.
