Default Low fan speed nearly never stop...

Since i ve installed a FTRA with my lid setup my car is running a little warmer than before.Specially in traffic.I knew it will do this but since a lot of member (ltx and of course lsx)run it, it didnt bother me.

But now my low speed fan doesnt seems to ever stop...I mean in traffic they never stop.If i let the car run at idle in my driveway with the hood open, the fan will stop once in a while. And by the way my car doesnt overheat at all.

I thought i had a alternator problem because i could see some voltage drop on my cluster gauge but its only cause because the low fan is always running.

Basic info:
-I got a 160 degree thermostat
-The low fan speed is set to start @ : 180 degree
-The high fan speed is set to start @: 185 degree
-The low fan speed is set to stop @: 177 degree
-The high fan speed is set to stop @ 182 degree

I wanted to try to make the high speed fan come on at 35mph(fan treshold high speed) to help while im running at a constant speed but it doesnt help when im sitting at a red light.

On my log with datamaster i can see that my low fan are coming on right at 180 degree and my high one at 185 degree.I never saw higher degree than 187.

So i would need some advice here.
-What can i do to make them stop ?
-Do i need to change some data in my tune (fan start degree and fan stop degree)?
-Does making my high speed fan run longer(more than 3 degree less)could help me?
-Could cancelling my low fan and only using the high one (at lower temp) would be a good idea?

Thanks

That FTRA must have changed the way the air circulates around the radiator. It is heating up faster and wants to stay there. Temperature is barely falling below 180 so the fan stays on.

Same thing happened to mine when I removed that plastic piece that fits at an angle between the radiator and the hole where the hood latch is. Just taking out that plastic piece disrupted the way the air moves around in there, and the car started running about 25 degrees warmer, and warmed up faster. Fans never stopped once it started.

Only way to stop the fans would be to raise your start/stop temps unless you can somehow increase the airflow around the radiator again.

The FTRA surely changed the way the air move and flow thru the radiator.

Moving my start temp would make my 160 degree thermostats useless dont you think

In last resor i could take off the FTRA if i cant find a way to stop the fan.Would it hurt my whp that much on a bolt on car...i dont know.

It's the tune. My car runs about 180 constant with a 160 t stat.

Wont hurt anything, but if it bothers you just change the low speed fan values.

I know that keeping my fan running wont bothers anything but yet it make my voltage drop a bit and i dont like it

So would something like raising everything by maybe 5 degree would help?

Ex:
low at 185 instead of 180
High at 190 instead of 185

Or just the low by 5 and high by 3...Im open to any good suggestion.

Thanks

I think your answering your own questions here bro. It aint rocket science. Just raise the temps a little bit.

Yeah i know im that kinda guy ... just kidding.

I always try to have some tips before doing some adjustement.

I ll raise it a little(5 degree) and will get back with some update.

Thank you
