Default Poly Motor Mount Question

I just bought two of the energy suspension motor mounts (part number 3.1116G) and one side seems like it is too big for the metal shell. Are there two different part numbers that I should have gotten or what? I thought that (from what I had read) both sides would use the same size poly insert.

Thanks

i cant recall if they use the same part number (or sized) mounts. but i do recall one side being tight to get in. use bolts where the rivets went through to keep it together

You may have to shave a little of the poly mount off to get it in the clamshell, it's no big deal just trim it to fit. I had to do the same thing with my Prothane's

They are two different pieces for driver vs. passenger side.

They won't really fit in the clamshells at first, but when you crank down the nuts/bolts that they (should have) come with they'll snug right up.

http://www.amazon.com/Energy-Suspens...8382471&sr=1-1 this is the one I got for 1 side. It comes with zip ties, and says to put it in a vice and just tighten down the ties... do the zip ties sound like a good plan to you guys?

My energy suspension pieces said "zip ties" in the instructions too, but they actually came with nuts and bolts in the package. I definitely would not use zipties, although it's probably not a big deal since they get sandwiched between the k member and block anyway.

Mine actually came with zipties. I want to hear some others say that they have done the zip ties just so I have some peace of mind...

The zip ties just hold it together temporarily until you bolt it to the k member. You will have a hard time getting the bolt holes lined up if you don't use them. Yes one side is completely different than the other, i am almost positive that they do not interchange.

Hell the one side is a good 1/3 less sized than the other! As stated you put the zip ties in the holes where the rivets used to be, bolt it down then cut the ties.

Well, anyone want to buy a poly motor mount that isn't opened yet?
