Default First Night of Clean Runs (cam-only NA) 1993 RX7

Well after building this car over the winter and destroying the stock rear after one pass my first night out I had my work cut out for me. So I swapped in a ford 8.8" IRS setup, had a friend whip up a quick street tune and decided to go get seat time. Very little was expected(11.5s) and I still have a lot to do to make the car quicker NA. So needless to say I am more then happy for my first night out getting some clean runs. I am going to slap a 6-point in there and shoot for a 10.7 cam-only before the end of the season.

This was on 26x10x15 et drags(17psi) on prostars and coker tires on spares for fronts

T-rex cam
LS6 intake manifold
Ported TB
1 7/8" headers
3" y-pipe to 4" cat back
Asp pully
Mild street tune
T-56 with ls7 clutch

DA was 2265

Looks like better weather, more tuning and a few other tricks is going to make my goals very attainable.

Congrats!

The DA at 8:40 was +1951. Corrected to 0 DA should get you around a 10.78 @ 128 mph.

Can you fit a 28" tire? That would help with the 60'

Thanks Bain and there is honestly a lot more I need to do to the car I just went out for the seat time. My 26" et drags are stuffed in there so im not sure if I could fit a 28" tire. I might do some test fitting soon though. I still had my front swaybar on as well. Also this car has a full road race suspension in it I was amazed it even wanted to cut 1.5s

Nice times!!! What kinda power are you making? With your raceweight, some seat time, and possibly a 27-28" tire (if they'll fit) I would say 10.5s aren't out of the question.

I honestly have not been on a dyno yet. I have about 300 miles on the swap it just got finished and I decided to take it to the track. I am probably running it again this friday with no changes made. I have a bunch of small things to squeeze a few more hp and drop some weight but I wont have the time for a few weeks. i am going to hit the dyno in a few weeks as well as soon as I fix a voltage issue. Im only seeing ~11v at WOT.

I should update that I went 10.95 later in the season. I am bummed I never got to really push this setup as it never got a really aggressive tune and I didn't have much seat time at all.
