What rims for $1500 or less??
I have the painted 10 spokes on the car now. I can't see spending the money on say Fikse (even though I would love to). But I still wanted some nice rims. I want an 10-11 inch rim in the back and 9-9.5 up front. I want 17's on the car. I also want chrome.... What are your suggestions? Post as many pics as you guys have.
Does anybody know how much Simmons, and ROH rims are?
Thanks

Check Ebay. You can get many wheels like the ZO6, TTIIs, and ZR1s on there for around $1000-$1200. There is a guy on there who sells 2 17X9/2 17X11 TTIIs for less than $1200 shipped. I can't remember his name unfortunately, but he's on there. Just look for the guy selling all the AR wheels. Good luck.

Chrome Torq Thrust II's from ebay are pretty cheap, and can be found in the sized you want.
If not on Ebay, call America's Tire Co. Really decently priced.
good luck,
Jon

BTW, Simmons are on the expensive side. The cheapest price on those is ~$2000 for a set, and they're special order. I don't think the ROHs are as expensive, but they come from Australia, so you'd have to order them. Try www.GroupAwheels.com if you are interested.

I got a price for ROH Sypers in chrome yesterday and they were 350.00 a piece from a Goodyear place. They can probably be had for a little cheaper, and the polished Snyper is around 210.00. I think the widest they come is 9". Y2K Vette wheels in chrome are about 325.00 each, but there are plenty of Vette salvage yards out there, those are available in 11.5" widths. The new Center Line Rebel is worth looking at (Jeg's catalog) It is forged and chrome for about the same price as the Y2K Vette wheels.

Do you have to get chrome, cause one its more expensive, and 2 its heavier. Go to QTP (a sponsor) and they have the TT2's for around 1200 a set (maybe a lil less) and theyre 17x9's and 17x11.

Just a heads up there is a very big difference between a crome and polished rim. Polished rims you have to really take care of them or they look like a$$. For lazy people like me crome is much easier to take care of. Spray a little glass cleaner on them and go.

chrome is much easier to maintain but polished is beautiful when its first done.. lots of 17 inch wheels in the price range your looking..

Try the boyds,I have the smoothie 2 from boyd coddington, they will make any sizeyou need, and they look great. Mineare polished, and they do require alot of work. Tell them you know about the prices they give at the car show every 2nd. saturday of the month. They give discounts if you buy during the event. I got mine for about $1100.

Is $1100 - $1200 the going rate on Boyd's rims.. or is that only a few models?

Re: What rims for $1500 or less??
Yeah, around 300/wheel for Boyd's on our cars is the typical unless you want 18's where I believe it goes up appx. another 100/wheel.
Fikse's are worth every penny, they are beautiful rims, I just can't see myself spending that much money on rims...mainly b/c I don't have it!
Well good luck with your decision.
