Default Fast Intakes

Would I see any gains going w/ a Fast 90 or 102 w/ a 90mm TB and bigger MAF on a stock internal M6 01 WS6 TA? Other mods are LT's/exhaust and SLP CAI. I realize having a different Cam and or heads it would net better gains...just curious if anyone has gone this route and noticed a difference. Thanks

You wont lose any hp but what most argue are hp per dollar. I dont think you can buy the 90 any more unless you get it used. If you go with a 102 you should go with a 102mm tb especially if you are going to a bigger maf. If you go to the 102 you dont want to bottle neck it.

I would imagine w/ a tune it would pick up some (not a lot)....but I honestly have no experience in that area.

you will make at best 15 peak hp over your current ls6 intake (came on 01-02 cars) and more likely about 10hp

so if 10hp is worth ~$750 used or $1000 new....

It may feel like it lost some TQ. down low, but you will gain up top. You would have better results and better gains spending your money elsewhere. Like said above the 90 is no longer made or replacement parts like gaskets- so be careful if buying a used 90- Just FYI.

If you know you are going to go heads and cam later and can get the fast for a steal then go for it- otherwise I would pass untill you have the heads and cam.

To save money, would it be worth while porting the stock LS6 intake manifold? Honest gains there or not worth it?

Thanks

There is really nothing to port. TPIS IIRC does a 90mm TB conversion but that is about all you can do.....

12-15 at most! Not worth it IMO! There are better mods you can do to get the same gains for less!

Well I got my hands on a used good condition Fast 92 w/ a Nick Williams 92mm tb w/ fuel rails. I'm going to swap it on this weekend. So do you think I will lose out on low end power and gain upper? Fast say there is no lose of power...

Also, should I step it up and get a SLP 85mm MAF? Or is there a better MAF to go with?

Come on dudes I need some info weather or not the Fast 92 will kill my low end with stock internals. I plan on running a 85mm tb and getting a tune after the install. Please help!

So you put the 92 on with stock internals? Did you get a tune afterwards? If so, did you notice an increase in power? Thanks

The stock MAF is good to 500 hp, no real reason to switch and unless you have a tuner used to working with the SLP 85mm MAF, you are likely to see more issues. Find out from your tuner whether they have actual experience with it, don't just take their word that they can do it.
