Default Will these fit? 17x4.5

Summit has these greg weld wheels on sale, and thanks to the "drag pack" thread I feel like I need new wheels.

They're 17x4.5, 2.25 BS, and -13 offset. I'm assuming that they should clear the front brakes being 17, But will they look right inside the fender wells?

Also, it says they're for "drag race only" my car is my DD, are they not strong enough to hold up to everyday use?
s
Thanks guys!

the lug bolts would not line up, unless you changed the bolt pattern.
If i'm not mistaken, 17x4.5 would be for a mustang.

17x4.5 is the wheels diameter and width, not the bolt pattern. Greg Weld wheels come with a unilug pattern including both 5x4.5 and 5x4.75 bolt patters, so the wheel will fit. However when I called Summit last they said they had sold their last set of them.

I just called them and they said they do infact have some, so go for it! And you should be fine on the street just use caution, turn slow, brake slow, ect. Don't be hitting up any road courses or anything.

haha, thats not quite my driving style. I do drive fast through corners, but thats an easy habit to break.

What size tires would you recommend? I'd prefer to buy a street tire vs a M&H or mickey sportsman.

Did some research, your running a 185/55/17 M&H on your 17x3? correct?

I'm considering buying these, then purchasing a 205/50/17 from work, probably a BFG. I did a quick compare, the 205 is .06 taller, and the width is pretty much an even 8". I figured the extra width wouldn't look overly stupid on the wheel, and would help with DD duty, IE rain turns etc.

Correct me if I'm wrong, I just don't want to buy these and be pissed when I eat through expensive tires that are tiny. haha

Yes, I use the M&H radial tire on my 17" fronts. They are a nice street tire and you can't beat them for the price.

how wide are your wheels though? did I read they're only a 3.5 or 3?

Edit NVM, re read the other thread they're 17x4.5. I think I'm going to go ahead and order them, mount up a set of take off 205's at work and see how they look.

I think a 205 tire is going to be too big for the rim. Those 185s kinda bulged on the 17x4.5s I wouldn't go any bigger than those.
