Default Good tires for street/autocross

Im looking for some tires that can handle road racing as well as everyday driving. I put less than 2k miles on my car in a year(Its Alaska so its out of the garage for 5 months if Im lucky) and I dont want to have to get another set of rims and tires for when I autocross. Im already having to do that for the drag strip. Ive been looking at some road race tires but Im not sure how well they would hold up to street use and a little rain. Any recommendations?

Nitto NT01 or NT5 Whatever they are on now. They do a great job with dual-duty.

I was reading that they dont warm up very well for short autocross runs. I was reading that the Toyo R1R warms pretty well and has good performance

I run NT01's, great tire, very sticky. I also will drive with them on the street (less then 1k miles a year) and they have been fine.

I got the perfect tires for you buddy. I have Nitto 555 RII. They are their DOT road race style tire. Basically a sticky compound with a stiff sidewall. I have the 305/18's on the rear and 285s on the front.

So, do you plan on doing road racing, or auto crossing? They're both very different, and both will require a different tire.

A NT-01 would be a perfect tire for some street driving and road course, as long as you don't drive much in the rain.
