Default estimated whp? also cam q and what'll it run

These threads NEVER get old!

I'm hoping this set of parts will set me up decent...

What I have:
LPPs
mail tune
3.42s
ram air intake
3200 stall

Ran 13.1 and trapped 103 (guessing 285whp off that)

Installing:
1.6 pro mags
thinner impala gaskets
cam: 230/230 .601/.601 107 lsa
and cleaning up heads
...maybe ewp

Where's the power going to peak at?
WHP? I know the auto/stall will drop it some.
What should it run?

I'm bored. Figured I'd ask. I have my ideas of answers to all this in my head but I'm more than likely wrong.

That cam is a horrible choice for stock heads.

Out of curiosity, why are you going with such a mismatched cam for stock heads?

That was a joke, man. I have patriot gold extremes (good to .650 lift) and nsa rockers. That's everything I need right?

Power should peak around 6300 or 6400 because of the LSA. You should be making 350-350 and mid 12s in the 1/4. Id either downgrade your stall or upgrade your gears with the 4K. A 3600 would work better with the 3.42s than a 4000

Well if you have everything you need for the install then you will be fine. But like I said earlier and Joe did, mid 12s for sure

Is that an older Bret Bauer grind by chance?

I have had no personal experience with single pattern cams in LT1's so take this FWIW. I have yet to see an LT1 run impressive times or put down impressive numbers with a single pattern cam and stock unported heads. If it were me I would sell the cam and get something a little more appropriate that has a nice split to it. The cam you have will obviously increase performance no doubt about it but if you want to maximize your combo I would get a different cam, just my .02.

sell the cam or port the heads... Im assuming it will run mid 12's on that setup. Low 12's with a better matched cam... high 11's with ported heads and that cam.

Quick Reply: estimated whp? also cam q and what'll it run
