Next Best Headers After Pacesetter?
I know Pacesetters aren't the best headers around but bang for your buck they are pretty hard to beat. I was wondering what you guys would consider the next best header after Pacesetter for quality & price wise?
I'm deciding if I want to get LT Pacesetters or spend a little more & get something else? Thanks!

Hooker and Kooks are said to be pretty good.
Hookers can be found cheaper than pacesetter sometimes, most say their a little better.
I would save the extra to get ones with the good finish if your upgrading.
I got black hookers that will probably look like crap a month after install but its still better than stock.

The stainless edelbrock stepped 1-3/4 to 1-7/8 victor series longtubes are probably your next best bet if you can't swing kooks or arh. They are $469 from edelbrock and the matching stainless y-pipe is $205ish.
Part number is #65701 for the stainless longtubes and #65711 is the part number for the matching stainless y-pipe.

I wanted ARH or Kooks but just couldnt see spending that much. I chose LsXtreme. I chose to wait and spend a little less than half of what others were asking. I'm going to be installing them in the next couple weeks.

If you are on a budget the best thing to do is check ebay once a day and type in "ls1 headers" then click newly listed. I did that for about a week and someone put a set of pacesetter ceramic coated LT headers on there buy it now for $90 + $30 shipping...... Good luck man

I have Jet Hot LTs which, I was told, are based on the the same design as Hooker Headers.
They're not stainless, but they are coated with Jet Hot's 1300* Sterling Silver Coating.
They can be had for around $500 through a number of sponsors. I purchased mine from the WS6Store when they had them on sale in late 2008.
Fitment and construction are A+. Although, I'm not completely sold on the coating. (If you'd like to hear this story just send me a PM and I'll be glad to elaborate.)
These are kind of a "middle of the road" header. They cost more than a true "budget header", but are still affordable.

I have a set of probably the best flowing 1 3/4" qtps for sale...all stainless steel...put down 485rwhp with my h/c/i ls1, locked a4 dynojet...
I say best flowing cause I spent around 3 hrs massaging the collectors where there was weld splatter and weld blocking the ports some...
550 shipped firm no bsing around and if you want the ORY pipe I will throw it in for free just pay the shipping for it...I can get pics later...I am sure these won't last long...gonna make a thread in a few days...

TSP 1 7/8" or LPP stainless would be my vote, although i went with pacesetters because there isnt much to gain with another companies 1 3/4 header vs pacesetter's 1 3/4. Go up in size or go stainless and its worth, otherwise, go with the cheapest (I wouldnt do ebay ones though).
