Speed Inc cam choices
SI5, SI5V2, and SI6 cams from Speed Inc. on an Ls6 based motor(243's possibly will be sent out this winter to get milled, ported and polised) with full bolt ons.
Power expectencies for each through an A4 and 3.73 gears. it's quite vague so any questions please feel free to post.

give them a call that is your best bet...i personally like the SI6 the best...have seen the best gains with it...
good luck deciding, give them a call they will definitely point you in the right direction...

any idea on the numbers you saw? i liked the numbers of the cam but am a little baffled on why the exhaust is so much smaller than the intake. if you know some numbers or some track times that would be awesome. i called today but they seemed busy and i could only talk to a sales rep unfortunately. i'll call again on monday. i'm in no hurry but just like everybody else, i'm trying to do the most research possible before getting a cam. i'd like to go to the track next spring and see a low 11, even a high 10. just don't have the money to keep testing different set ups since im in college.

well im not the smartest dude on this forum by any means... but i wouldnt think you will b hitting 10's off just cam and heads and bolt on's.... i might b drunk and stupid but idk... from most that i have read is u gotta have a lil juice to get into the 10 bracket... but not completely sure i have an 98 with cam, intake, 3.73 gears and LT's with 3" true duals...its gonna have a 3500 stall with 243 heads ported and polished really nice set... and a custom tune... so ill let you know if i hit 10's on that dyno and if i do then you should have no problems doing the same

I run the SI7 Cam, Patriot LS6 heads, LS6 intake, Stock TB, UD pulley and made 423/374 through S60 4.56 gears and Mufflex catback.
The best time so far has been mid 11s @ 120mph. I'm sure I could improve on those times with better intake and tb but I was happy with the power it put out and forgot all about remaining upgrades to get it's full potential.
I recommend talking to them about your plans and goals and they will set you up in the right direction.

chapmans what cam are you running? and ya some times would be great once you get it figured out. i essentially have the same set up but would like to get the heads milled to make 11.5:1 compression.
smokedout how does the SI7 feel in terms of where the power comes in and such. Also what track are you running at?
