Default ordering cams, need opinions.

I just bought my corvette last week. 1998 c5 ls1. it already has b&b bullitt exhaust and snake tongue intake. I ordered kooks longtubes and x pipe with no cats last night. so time for cams. I want the biggest lope i can get with stock heads but also some decent driveability and low end power. I had ***** thumprs in my 07 mustang and the low end was terrible. these are the cams i was thinking of...

MS4 or MS3 cams from texas speed.
g5x4 cam
or MTI x1 cam (my favorite)

what else will i need besides pushrods, timing chains, and springs for the mt1 x1 cam?

MTI X1 to those other 3 are completely different worlds. with your current mods, the x1 would be my choice. With great driveability. Try looking into the TR230 reverse split as well. Nasty lope, good low end and drive ability. Very similar to the x1..

Lots of "cams" out there. More info on your set-up would help. I personally would call up some vendors and tell them what you are looking for. I personally chose Cam Motion for my cam. They have some nice offerings IMO and can make whatever specs you want. They actually make them in house.

Since you don't want to lose all your low end torque I think the ms3/ms4 is a little too big and the reverse split MTI x1 isn't ideal. I would at the same time get a LS6 intake manifold used for around $250 and pick up 10-15rwhp right there, then could pick a regular spilt cam.

A cam around a 232/236 .595/.595 112 shouldn't give up too much low end but still pake killer power and sound mean. I would get PatG or Geoff from eps to spec the cam for me though.

Besides the cam you should get an , ls2 timing chain, chromoly pushrods. cam swap gasket kit and springs at minimum. Possibly a ls6 stock oil pump too.
