Default Need engine advice

Ok so for what ever reason my ls1 decided it wanted a new window and apparently the pistons tried to escape out this window. Now I think it seems as though its cheaper to go the lq4 short block route. Does any one know(assuming the heads are still good) if cartek stage 3 ported heads would work with this set up? Also what else would I need to do in order to run this set up? Thanks alot and sorry for the newbish question.

What would be the best 6.0 block to go with? The lq4 or lq9?

yep you just have to tap one hole in the block for the alternator bracket, but it will all bolt up.

Think I am going to build it for boost. A 6.0 would be the best block for a f.i car correct?

A lot of guys just use two bolts and get by fine. IIRC there is a boss on the block where it goes though.

For boost an LQ4 would be best because the pistons are dished to drop compression... If you are going to build it get whatever is cheapest because the blocks are the same... but LQ4's are usually cheaper..
